It's Way Too Early...

...to be up on a Saturday, but alas, I am. Woke up a little after 5 am because my neck was aching (I have congenitally fused cervical vertebrae) and now I can't get back to sleep. I see a nap happenin' later in the day.

TheEx has been doing field work in Ireland for the past two weeks and so I've been hanging out with TheDaughter all day, every day (now that school's out) and I have to say it hasn't been too bad. As far as 13-going-on-30-year-olds go, she's still pretty pleasant to be around. Right now she still likes to talk to me about just about everything (at a million words a minute), but she also enjoys doing her own thing and having time to herself during the day. Which means I get my down time too...which is good. Really, really good. For me and for those around me.

TheFiance and I are still looking for a decent, pet-friendly rental in the hopes for moving in together next month. As soon as the world awakens this morning and it's a decent hour, I need to make some calls to get details about a few places and hopefully, set up some viewings. We shall see.

Friday Fill-In

Okay, so I'm too lazy to write anything creative for my first blog post, so here's a Friday Fill-In. And I'm not even posting it on a Friday, but a Saturday. Awesomesauce.

And...here we go!

1. TheFiance and I are currently looking for a rental home.

2. My favorite thing for dinner lately has been anything on the grill and tomato salad.

3. Annoying dogs do nothing but continuously bark! bark! bark!

4. A nice long walk nearly always helps my mood if I'm in a funk...the tough part is getting off my lazy ass and taking one.

5. I love to get me some good news.

6. When all is said and done, the most important thing to me is being able to go sleep at night knowing I did my best that day and that the people I love know that I love them.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending time with TheFiance, tomorrow my plans include spending time with TheDaughter and reading, and Sunday, I want to work in the garden and enjoy the sun!
